enviromentaly frienndly foam??

http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/07/12/breaking-ford-and-lear-introducing-soy-foam-seats-on-2008-musta/

[Source: Ford]Soy foams were one of the first areas of development but when they initially tried substituting the soy oils for the petroleum based materials, the results were totally unacceptable. The foam had no strength and entirely inappropriate properties for the applications they were looking for and many people thought it would never work.

to be used in 2008 version of the mustang (the o' so green muscle car?)

Smart design, getting smarter

in business week there is a blog entry about the founder of smart design, saying that they are going into sustainable design in a big way, due to market demand!!! these guys are not stupid (hence the name) but we are all wondering how this will evolve. will it be all service design like ideo or hardcore products done properly. it will be quite a challange to really pull it of! looking forward to seeing it!
